Film Screening: Alice's Ordinary People
Join us for a screening by film maker Craig Dudnick on Alice Tregay’s life and legacy as an activist. Alice’s life story reads like a history of the civil rights movement. A woman who refused to stand still for injustice and brought others together to change what was. Alice’s story involves her early advocacy in equal housing, school integration, Operation Breadbasket, Operation Push, the Political Action Committee, Mayoral and Presidential elections, as a lobbyist, and her work with the Soul Children of Chicago.
