The show explores the many ways artists interpret creatures large and small\, from birds in flight and animals in their natural habitats to symbolic\, imaginative\, and sculptural representations of the animal kingdom. \n\nThe exhibition opened Friday\, July 17\, with an Opening Reception. Visitors enjoyed meeting participating artists\, exploring the gallery's newest collection of artwork and fine crafts\, and enjoying an evening of art\, conversation\, and refreshments. Birds & Beasts runs through Saturday\, September 5.\n\nSpectrum Gallery also offers an Artisans Store filled with pottery\, glass\, home d cor\, children's toys\, jewelry\, and other handcrafted accessories created by regional artists.\n\nSpectrum Art Gallery is located at 61 Main St.\, Centerbrook\, CT.
