DESCRIPTION:The Lyme Art Association (LAA) is pleased to announce Sunflower's Bloom\, a compelling exhibition opening  on April 18\, 2025 and running through May 29. The show offers a dynamic celebration of artistic expression while supporting a critical humanitarian cause.\n\n\n\nSunflower's Bloom is a juried exhibition dedicated to supporting Ukraine and its people. With the sunflower - Ukraine's national flower - as its guiding symbol\, the show highlights themes of resilience\, hope\, and the enduring beauty that flourishes even in adversity. All art entry fees were donated to UNICEF to aid Ukrainian children and families\, and a portion of sales commissions from the exhibition will also contribute to this effort. Open to all artists and juried by Jenny Parsons\, Curator at the Florence Griswold Museum\, the exhibition invited artists to explore themes of renewal\, endurance\, and light emerging from darkness.\n\n\n\nThe exhibition is on view at the Lyme Art Association\, located at 90 Lyme Street in Old Lyme\, CT from April 18 through May 29\, 2025. The Opening Reception takes place on Friday\, April 25\, from 5 - 7 PM. The gallery is open to the public Tuesday through Sunday\, 10 AM - 5 PM. Admission is free\, and all are welcome.
