About Us

The Lyme Art Association (LAA) is a welcoming and thriving fine arts community rooted in our history and powered by the creativity and excellence of our members. Our home is a historic, skylit 1921 building with a world-class gallery and art education studio in Old Lyme, Connecticut, the home of American Impressionism.

LAA exhibits over 2,000 paintings and sculptures each year in up to fifteen themed, juried shows that draw visitors from throughout New England. We engage artists and art lovers in the visual arts through exhibitions, classes, workshops, talks, demonstrations, and special events presented by respected instructors and subject experts. We work hard to support artists at every level of their journey.

Our gallery is open Wednesday through Sunday, 10am-5pm, or by appointment. Exhibits change every 8 weeks. Free admission, donations welcome. We can't wait to welcome you to the Lyme Art Association - Where Art Lives!
