STOP THE BLEED®, Save a Life

Through the STOP THE BLEED® course, you will gain the ability to recognize life-threatening bleeding and intervene effectively. The person next to a bleeding victim may be the one who's most likely to save him or her. Take the course and become empowered to make a life-or-death difference when a bleeding emergency occurs. This program is 90 minutes including a PowerPoint presentation, a Question and Answer session and a Hands-On demonstration as to how to save lives until EMTs arrive. This program is free, and each attendee also receives a free STOP THE BLEED® kit for ease of implementation. This training could assist if there were a car accident, a fall at home or in the community, if there were a school or public event shooting incident ... wherever a bleeding emergency occurs! The presenter will be Maria Gladue, a Lisbon, CT Lions Club member and an Emergency Medical Technician [EMT] for many years.

There is a limited number of spaces, so register early by emailing Sue Martin with your registration request. Please arrive 10 minutes before the course begins for check in. This event is hosted by the Lyme-Old Lyme Lions Club as a public service.
