Our Facilitators
After a successful career in journalism, marketing, advertising and non-profit management, Kim Pita emerged as a mental wellness champion. The tragic death of her younger sister inspired her renewed purpose to transform fears of mental health into love. In 2019, she published the memoir Split Endz: A Tale of 2 Crazy Sisters on how she able to get to the other side of loss to become an advocate. Kim is certified in Mental Health First Aid and served as chair of the Board of Directors of Mental Health Connecticut. She founded and launched Love Your Mental Health LLC in 2020 and recently opened an art & wellness studio in Old Saybrook. A certified life coach and mindfulness facilitator, she provides group and one-on-one coaching for those seeking mindful wellness, emotional awareness, life purpose and happiness intelligence. She has also recently become certified in sound meditation practice using singing bowls. Kim currently serves as chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Connecticut-based mindfulness center Copper Beech Institute. She is a board member of Framingham State University Alumni Association and board member emeritus of the Connecticut Business & Industry Association (CBIA). A natural born storyteller and editor, Kim also helps families get their memories and stories written and published as generational keepsakes.
Cheri Marks-Cavanna is a licensed clinical therapist/social worker by trade and a spiritual seeker/counselor by choice. Working in the schools for over 25 years, she has been blessed working with children, families, staff and resources and this has provided me with a lens to view the world from multiple perspectives. Ultimately, we all have pieces to heal and need to love ourselves to really engage fully in the world. Spiritually, obstacles in her path have brought her here. This has taught her to learn whatever excites her. She is a certified hypnotherapist, has been trained in the Akashic Records, Women's Circles, MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) and Reiki 1. She has been providing angel readings, workshops, meditation and angel readings professionally since 2016.
Margo James is a holistic therapist and meditation guide, who creates sacred spaces for humans to find their inner light to heal. She is a yogi as a teacher and practitioner. She weaves the spiritual into the mind body soul meeting each human in their space. A holistic nurse by name but a spirit guide by practice. Her modalities include sound healing meditation guidance 1:1 and in groups, as well as yoga therapy. Her mediations are divinely channeled. A background in trauma as therapist and survivor, she brings empathy nurtured and spirit connection to all her practice, guiding each person to their divinity within.
