Presented by the Greater Old Saybrook Chamber and the Old Saybrook/Westbrook Exchange Club Race starts at Saybrook Point - runs north on College Street circling back along scenic North Cove Rd, concluding at Saybrook Point. Night of Comedy in Support of Acton Public Library at The Kate
Join us for a night of laughter and community support as the Acton Public Library presents a Night of Comedy to benefit the Library?s Renewal Project. In November 2023, the Library received a $2 million CT State Construction/Renovation Grant, but we need your help to raise an additional $2 million in matching funds to make the renewal possible (we are 71% of the way to that goal). Come enjoy performances from four incredibly talented and hilarious comedians, all while contributing to a great cause. Your attendance will directly support the continued growth and improvement of the library, ensuring it remains a valuable resource for years to come. Music in the Garden: Bootleg Harmony
Join the Old Saybrook Historical Society in the sunken garden behind the Hart House for live music on Sunday, September 7th. Enjoy a free concert from the Bootleg Harmony. Bring your own chair and spend Sunday afternoon in the garden while enjoying a range of tunes that features harmony and fun rhythms! Bootleg Harmony plays a variety of classic acoustic rock, with some contemporary country tunes thrown in. They love to get the audience involved, either by suggesting songs or singing and dancing along. Their music features great harmonies and upbeat energy. Rain cancels. Additional parking is available at the two churches on either side of the Society campus.

Third Thursday Connections
Join us at various locations on the Third Thursday of every month for your favorite morning meeting. Participants each get two sets of 30 seconds to introduce themselves and their business to the group. This is a fast and effective way to meet people. One member commented, ''this meeting was the equivalent of knocking on 40 doors in one hour.'' Meetings are moderated as attendees briefly explain their business. By reservation, 3 members may have a 3-minute spotlight to share their business. Please call the office 860-388-3266 if you'd like to reserve a 3-minute presentation spot.
