Activities Program Instructor
We are seeking an Activities Program Instructor to join the Vista Connect Day Program team. “Connect” is a program of daily activities in a scheduled routine, structured to fit the needs of each person in it. Each day is a 6-hour experience of activities for group and individual projects, peer-support, community involvement, and social support. Activities include work, fitness, group instruction for skills, and social support training. Connect is offered up to 5 days per week.
Location: This position is based at our Madison, CT campus.
Job Type/Shift Information: This is a Full-Time position with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm.
This is a Benefits and PTO (Paid Time-Off) eligible position.
Responsibilities for an Activities Program Instructor include:
- Providing opportunities for program members to practice daily living skills via social, group, recreational, and community-based activities
- Working in a team-based environment with other program instructors to facilitate group activities with program members
- Assisting in the skills-building evaluation process and providing appropriate trainings
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year of related experience
- Valid Driver’s License with a safe driving record
- Ability to obtain a Public Service License within 90-days of hire at company’s expense
